Leavitt, Irving beloved husband of Helen for 64 wonderful years, devoted father of Marvin (Susie), Rochelle Rosenbloom and Betty (Kenneth) Schwartz, proud and loving Zadie of Micah (Jenna), Shaina, Jessica, Danny and Jenna. Chapel service Monday, 10 a.m. at Shalom Memorial Funeral Home, 1700 Rand Rd., Arlington Heights. Interment Shalom Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to JUF, 1 S. Irving's passing is a loss to all that knew him. At the tender age of 13 when I first met him as My Best friend's Dad...The love, strength and stories that made him what he was is something I always treasured! His legacy is in his wife, children and grandchildren. I feel blessed to have known him and been a part of the family for many years. Now that I have reconncted to the family I feel blessed to re live so many memories and stories. My heart hurts for all of you. But the strength of your family will carry you through.
