Irene Korosa Obituary

Korosa, Irene C. The White Doves of peace and glory have come to lift up Irene C. Korosa (nee Zielinski) to her eternal mansion in Heaven. Irene was the beloved wife of the late John; loving mother and friend of Cheryl Lynn; loving mother to the late Richard and the late Ronald; grandmother of 6; great-grandmother of 17; and great-great-grandmother of 5; Irene was the sister of eight brothers and one sister; aunt of many nieces and nephews. She was a generous, kind-hearted mother and friend. She will be loved and cared for by her King and Savior, Jesus Christ, along with her husband and sons. Irene was the co-proprietor of Club Irene and The Cheryl Lynn Lounge with her husband, John. They opened the door of the Cheryl Lynn Lounge in May 1961. Irene and husband John were awarded the Frank Duda award in 1985 by The United Polka Association for their contribution to the polka music industry. Irene was a member of The Women of the Moose, Polish National Alliance, The National Cleveland-Style Polka Hall Of Fame/American Slovenian Polka Music Association, Stickney Township Seniors Club, KSKJ, the Saint Jude League and Association of the Miraculous Medal and past member of St. Albert the Great Seniors Club.
