Irene Klikna Obituary
Klikna, Irene 83, passed away on April 17th, 2009. Irene was born and raised in Chicago and enjoyed a long career in banking at Pulaski Savings Bank in the Bridgeport neighbor-hood. She considered herself a "working mom" long before the title became popular. Irene was the beloved wife of Peter Klikna for 62 years and loving mother to Eugenia (Gina) Kokes, she cherished her son-in-law, Dr. Charles Kokes, and loved visiting and traveling with her grandchildren: Cristine, Peter and Thomas Kokes. Funeral services will be held in Chicago at a future date. Memorials may be sent to: St. Jude's Children's Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105, Attention: Tributes.

Mr. Klikna,
I am so sorry about Mrs. Klikna. I loved her, and you, as did my grandma and grandpa-Matt and Florence Lapka.
My prayers and thoughts are with you and your family. She will be missed by all she touched.

Gina, some of the things I will always remember about your mom: the way she laughed, almost like giggling, about so many things...the funny stories she would tell...all the novenas she would say for you and sometimes for me, too...calling my father Bill instead of Bob...I have lots of good memories of her...Sue
