Inez Cooley Obituary

HEPHZIBAH, Ga. - Mrs. Inez Lillian Cooley, 79, entered into rest Tuesday February 7, 2006 at Medical College of Georgia Hospital, Augusta. Mrs. Cooley was born October 31, 1926 in Tuscaloosa County, AL to the late Arthur and Florence Scott Gentry. Mrs. Cooley lived in this area since 1971. She worked as a waitress. She was a member of the South Haven Baptist Church. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Friday February 10, 2006 in the DeLoach Kennedy Funeral Home Chapel, Waynesboro with Rev. Charlie Peters officiating. Interment will follow at Burke Memorial Gardens. Family members and church members will be pallbearers. Mrs. Cooley was preceded in death by her son Cecil in September 2005. She is survived by her husband, Morris D. Cooley, Sr., Hephzibah and her son, Morris D. Cooley, Jr. (Sabra), Largo, FL. She is also survived by her granddaughter, Geneva Handleman and husband, Larry and great-grandchildren, Jesse and Chelsea Handleman. The familywill receive friends from 7 - 9 p.m. Thursday February 9, 2006 at the funeral home. There wasn't a day I visited Mrs.Cooley (Lady Jane) That I didn't see a smile on her face. She is one of the strongest people I ever met and she will always have a place in my heart. She believed in the Lord her God. I am terribly sorry for your loss.
