Dear Aunt Edith, Debbie Bert and Jill,
I lost my beloved uncle he was married to my Aunt Edith for over 62 years. Everyone in the world should have a love like theirs. He was a much loved man and president of the people in the building who grew to love him as we did, his family. He was my mother's brother I lost my parents young but he was Papa Hy to my children as well as his many grandchildren and treated them all the same. The night my dad died he brought me back a huge bag of cherries on his way back from the market as he knew how much I love cherries, I will never forget that and all the times I road in the truck with him when I was in school.Or just him being uncle Hy and having lox and bagels for me and daddy after art school As I got older how he screamed to let him in when Amy was being born, he screamed let me in I'm her father, and all the times going down to the pool. He always had answers for my questions and always an I love you. Aunt Edith, I will cherish my memories of him because for now there is a hole in my heart because of the pain that I have knowing I will miss him and how very much I loved him. I will be here for you Aunt Edith anytime you need me I will be there for you, just let me know I love you with all of my heart. Mar

Dearest Edith,
After 60 years of friendship with you, Hy, Morrie and I, it is the most devastating tragedy that I share with you. May God give you the strength to cope with this unfortunate time of your life. My thoughts are with you every minute since I heard the sad news. May God give us both the strength to go on with our lives.
I love you dearly,
Your best friend Dedee and Judy

I will miss you Uncle Hy! Coming to Chicago as a young boy by my self to go to Weddings,Bar Mitzvah's, and Anniversaries and just to visit will remain in me forever. But especially my Uncle Hy picking me up at the airport in his Lincoln. I couldnt wait to land, get my bags, and get to the second level (Where he always said he would be) and find him at the curb waiting for me, then planting my lips on his warm cheeks. Then the stories would begin about him and my father. Thank you Uncle Hy for helping me get through the tuffest time in my life after my father passed. I will truly never forget you,and appreciate you being the person you were.
Love Jeff
