HOWARD TEBEAU Obituary

HOWARD L. TEBEAU SHELBURNE - Howard L. Tebeau, 82, of Shelburne, died at Fletcher Allen Health Care, with his family by side on Thursday, April 15, 2010. He was born in Essex Center, on March 31, 1928, the son of Howard and Catherine (Lavigne) Tebeau. He attended school in Essex, Ctr. He later married Lorraine (Ploof) Tebeau in Oct. of 1950. Together they raised seven children. Howard was employed much of his life at a variety of jobs including the Winooski Woolen Mill, and retired after 30 years at General Electric. He enjoyed days spent at the Burlington Waterfront, family gatherings, visiting with friends, and watching his grandchildren grow. Howard never met a stranger he couldn't strike up a conversation with. He looked forward to the Champlain Valley Fair, where he was sure to meet up with his vast network of friends. He also enjoyed hunting and fishing over the years. He would spend hours sharing his stories about his life experiences with family and friends. He is survived by his seven children; Sandra and Dealton Jarvis of Essex, Debra Westover of Waitsfield, Brenda and Dave Carpenter of Charlotte, Donald and Mary Tebeau of Burlington, Rhonda Tebeau and York Sherry of Colchester, Sheila and Jeff Towne of South Hero, and Darren Tebeau of Waterbury; nine grandchildren, Eric, Brent and his wife Melissa, Kyla, Lisa, Sierra, Alicia, Savanah, Jessica and Amanda; and two great-grandchildren, Olivia and Aidan. Howard is also survived by two sisters, Janice Robar, and Carol and her spouse, Rod Douglas. He was predeceased by his parents and eight sisters. A graveside service will be held on Saturday, April 17, 2010, at 11 a.m. in New Mount Calvary Cemetery.
