Erickson, Howard C. "Babe" age 80, Army Veteran WWII. Beloved husband of the late Sonia (nee Benson), loving father of Rod (Noreen), Gail (Don) Turner, Brad and Curt, dear grandfather of Nora, fond brother of the late Robert (the late Emilie) Erickson, devoted son of the late Carl and Wendela Erickson, uncle of Keith (Virginia) Erickson, and Karen (Dan) Potts, brother-in-law Lennart Benson and the late Svea (the late Ray) McCarthy. Funeral service Friday, 11 a.m. at Kolbus Funeral Home, 6857 W. Higgins Ave. Interment private. Visitation Thursday, 3 to 9 p.m. Member of Park Ridge Post #3579, VFW 134th. Inf. Assoc., Combat Infantrymens Association. Military order of the Purple Heart and Veterans of the Battle of the Bulge Ardennes. In lieu of flowers, memorials to the North Park Covenant Church Building Fund, 5250 N. Christina Ave., Chicago, IL, 60625, would be appreciated. 773-774-3232.
