To The Mills Family:
The passing of Mr. Herman comes too late for my husband Billy jackson to come and offer condolences in person. I found out thru reading the newspaper and was saddened because my husband had just told me the story of he had a boxer come from New Orleans and Mr. Herman told the youngster he use to tap dance on Rampart St (New Orleans)and he began to tap dance in the State Building in Chgo and drew a crowd. So that to say we are sadden for your loss and we'll keep your family in our prayers.

Dear Mills Family: I only learned of the loss of Bro. Mills today, too late to offer condolences in person. I met him at Fuller Gym. He was great, and his loss hurts. Dennis Perdue, another intellectual and athletic genius was my instructor, and he proceeded Bro. Mills, in death, by six years. Bro. Perdue remained in shape and trained young people until he passed. While they are both at God's rest, nevertheless, we, who remain on this side of life's ledger, cherish their memories, example and instruction, but we are the poorer because we shall never again see such excellence and character, as their generation is rapidly leaving us. Each of us was enriched to have them in our lives. Thank you, Jesus, and thank you Bro. Mills for your service to us.
