Bernick, Herman C. 90, beloved husband of Joan (nee Schutz), devoted father of Reuben Bernick, David (Christine) Bernick and Daniel (Libby) Bernick, loving grandfather of Vanessa, Simon, Evan, Leigh, Andrew and Nina. Funeral services Sunday, 12 noon, at The Piser Chapel, 9200 N. Skokie (at Church St.), Skokie. Interment Mt. Mayriv Cemetery, Chicago. I remember hearing my Great Uncle Herman tell a joke about an engineer in the Israeli army. That joke was what sparked my love of telling a good joke. His memory is a blessing.

When I was a child he taught me; his humor delighted me; as an adult, he inspired me. Uncle Herman will always be in my heart. I loved him very much.
