Metz, Henry J. age 76, lifelong resident of Lyons, IL, Navy Veteran 1955-1958, loving brother of MaryAnn (late Donald) Lewis, late Edward (late Mame), and the late Nicholas Metz, cherished uncle of many nieces and nephews, dear friend of the Klementos family (P.J. Klems Family Restaurant & Banquets), many other close friends. Funeral services Tuesday, May 26, 2009, 9:30 a.m. from Tower Home for Funerals, 4007 Joliet Ave. (but not Joliet Rd.), Lyons, IL 60534, to St. Hugh Catholic Church for 10:00 a.m. Mass. Interment Queen of Heaven Cemetery, Hillside, IL. Dedicated son working for the family business The Joseph Metz & Sons Block Co. with 100 years of service to the community and 500 years of family heritage. Graduated from St. Hugh Grammar School, LaGrange Township High School, St. Xavier College, Cincinnati, OH, and received an honorary degree from the University of Madrid Spain. Visitation Monday, Memorial Day, 4:00 to 9:00 p.m. 708-447-7900
