Helene Burke Obituary

Helene Hodges Burke, age 75, died Saturday, January 10, 2004, at St. Joseph's Hospital. The native and lifelong resident of Savannah was a graduate of St. Vincent's Academy and attended Armstrong State College. She was a communicant of St. Peter the Apostle Catholic Church and Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church and was a member of the Daughters of Ireland. Survivors: her husband, John V. Burke of Savannah; two daughters and a son-in-law, Cathy Burke Hall and Suzanne Burke Swinson and Gerard E. Swinson, all of Savannah; a brother, William F. Hodges of Savannah; five grandchildren, John Swinson, Suzie Swinson, Stephen Swinson, Katie Hall and Megan Hall; and several nieces and nephews. Mass of Christian Burial: 11:00 a.m. on Monday, January 12, 2004 at St. Peter the Apostle Catholic Church. Burial: Bonaventure Cemetery.
