Helen Ruebsamen Obituary

April 22, 2006 Helen D. Ruebsamen, 84, of Syracuse, died on Saturday at St. Joseph's Hospital. She was a lifelong resident of Syracuse, a communicant and former BINGO volunteer at Blessed Sacrament church, a volunteer for Hospice of CNY and WCNY, she enjoyed crossword puzzles and music. She was predeceased by her husband, Louis (Jack). Mrs. Ruebsamen is survived by her daughters, Lynda (Gerald M.) Smith of Liverpool, Diane (James) McVety of Jacksonville, FL; a brother, Peter Zwick of Syracuse; a sister, Dorothy Zimmerman of Clay; grandchildren, Kelly Smith and Heather Hanlon; and several nieces and nephews. Funeral services are Thursday at 8:30 a.m. at the Goddard-Crandall-Shepardson Funeral Home and at 9 a.m. in Blessed Sacrament Church. Entombment will be in Assumption Mausoleum.
