It has been 2 weeks since you left us. I have been trying so hard to be strong...I really have. I know I told you that I would survive this and be okay. I know I have to go on because I have the babies, and I need to be as strong for them as you were for me .
But..it has only been two weeks, and I just don't know how to do this for the rest of my life.
Oh mom...my strength, my advisor, my comfort, my rock. I don't know how to hold it together without you.
I try to find comfort knowing you are no longer in pain, and still in some way with us.
But my heart aches in a way that will never heal.
I love you.

Helen
I truly missed our Leo's lunches while working with you at DCC when I left the company so long ago. Then when my family moved to TN, we did not keep up as much as anyone would like. Life happens. I will never forget you sharing your life trials, frustrations, love, friendship, and sisterhood. We connected deeper than mere acquaintances. Thank you for helping me deal with my loss of my dad. I have never forgotten how you picked me up when I felt so lost. Thank you for the gift of sunshine, hope, friendship, & real love. You will always be in my heart, as I will never forget you. In fact, I look forward to the day that we meet again in heaven.

To Helen's family, she was the best person to have as a friend. I cannot believe she is gone. I know that in my heart she would want you to continue to celebrate life even at this time. As hard as that may seem right now, Helen's love is strong enough to move you forward. Let her love for life, live through each of you. Helen is truly a gift from God. I am so blessed that she walked in on my life for a short time. I can only imagine how you must feel knowing she was in yours. Heavenly father I ask you to keep this family close and bless their lives as Helen did so many others.

In his love.
Christina

I WAS VERY SADDENED TO HEAR THAT HELEN PASSED AWAY, AND SO VERY SORRY I WAS ON VACATION AND COULD NOT ATTEND HER FUNERAL. I WORKED WITH HELEN AT DANA, AND THEN AT FLEET. THRU HER ILLNESS WHEN SHE STILL WORKED SHE WAS ALWAYS POSITIVE AND UPBEAT, AND I HAD TOLD HER MANY TIMES HOW I WAS IMPRESSED WITH HER STRENGTH. I CAN TELL YOU EMPHATICALLY SHE LOVED LIFE, HER HUSBAND, CHILDREN AND GRANDCHILDREN. AS GRANDMA'S WE SHARED THE JOYS OF HAVING GRANDKIDS AND SPOILING THEM. MY THOUGHTS AND PRAYERS ARE WITH HER FAMILY. HER MEMORY WILL ALWAYS LIVE ON.

My dearest friend, Helen. You will be missed. You have been missed for a few years. Yes I am being selfish. I am happy that you are not suffering and I do celebrate your life. But I am selfish and I want more of YOU! And I am jealous that you are with Jeff and everyone that you love. It will proably take you a few weeks to meet up with all of them. Grady, you are an inspiration to others. You taught us about unconditional love and to have a positive attitude. You must have gotten that from Helen?? All my love, Renee

I worked with Helen at Dana Commercial Credit. She was a wonderful person and always had a smile on her face. She will be truly missed by everyone who knew her including myself. She's in a much better place now free of pain. My sympathy goes out to her family.

I worked with Helen at Bank of America. She was always carefree & full of life. She always bought a birthday cake for her co-workers, & when Helen couldn't work anymore, we kept the tradition going. Helen was a great person. I'll miss her.

I remember Helen well from the "old days" at Dana Commercial Credit in the 80's. She was one of those rare and gracious personalities, always willing to help, always kind and always smiling. Though it has been many years since those days at Dana, I remember Helen well because she was one of those people that you can only hope to find within any organization. Passionate, dedicated and helpful, I am sure she left a lifelong impression on more people than she ever could have imagined, including me.

I don't know Helen, but I do know her daughter Heather, I meet Heather throught her husband John . John and I are best friends from Florida.

I know that Heather was there for her Mom all throughout this battle, and that she did what she could to help, not only her mother, but others that were along side of Helen. Knowing this, only tells me that Helen had a great relationship with her daughter and that the famly was very close. I probably see Helen the most, when Heather is loving McKenzie and Brody. "Job well done, Helen......."

Heather, my sympathy goes out to you and your family. And may the wonderful memories of your Mom, (Grandma Helen), bring warmth to your heart, where you will always find her.........

P.s.
Be sure to pass on these great memories to McKenzie and Brody, so that they will understand the warm feeling that is watching over all of you.

I met Helen when I was working at Dana Commercial Credit. She was one of my most favorite people to talk to. I enjoyed hearing about her family and how much she loved all her kids and grandkids...at the time I believe there was only one, with another one on the way. Boy was she a proud Grandma! Of course she also told me many stories about the love of her life and how happy Grady made her!

She always had great gardening tips and the best decorating ideas. She was one of the kindest souls. Helen helped me through a difficult time when my aunt was diagnosed with cancer. She even called my aunt and shared her experiences and gave my aunt some words of encouragement.

I could go on and on about how wonderful a woman she was and how much she will be missed by so many.

I hope her family finds comfort in knowing she is at peace. I know my aunt also fought a good fight and she and Helen will always be with us.

I worked with Helen at the Hallmark store back in the 1980's. I was with her when she met Grady. Helen was a fun loving and easy going person. She always had a smile and a laugh. Heather and Steven know that she will always be with you.

For many years I worked with Helen at DCC. She was always very nice, had a great disposition and always willing to help and I know that she was loved by all at work. After leaving the company we lost contact, but through our email network I kept track of her battle with Cancer. I will always remembered her as a great lady. Helen, God has a special place waiting for you.

We, here at Bank of America, will sorely miss Helen. I have known here since 1988 (at Dana) and she undoubtedly was one of the nicest people I have ever met, and I dont say that lightly. SHe was always friendly and nice and just a joy to be around. To Helen: Take care my friend! I hope you are finally at peace and out of pain.

I didn't work with Helen long but in the few months that I did she was a wonderful, inspirational person. She brought me veggies from her garden even though she didn't really know me. She was a breath of fresh air. My thoughts are with your family. God Bless!
