Helen Lackhouse Obituary

Lackhouse, Helen (nee Melko) October 6, 1921 - February 27, 2011, age 89, of Burnside, Illinois passed away Sunday, February 27, 2011. She is survived by her beloved children: Sherwin (Carlene), William, Edward (Kathy) and daughter-in-law Joanne, 9 cherished grandchildren and 3 great-grandchildren; and numerous dear nieces and nephews. Helen was preceded in death by her husband Edward, son Richard, grandson Brian, sister Mary Dickey and brother John Melko. Funeral services will be Thursday, March 3, 2011 at 9:30 a.m. from Castle Hill Funeral Home, 248-155th Place, Calumet City, Illinois to St. Andrew the Apostle Church for 10:00 a.m. Mass of Christian Burial followed by interment at Holy Cross Cemetery. Family and friends will gather for a visitation Wednesday from 4 to 8 p.m. at the funeral home.
