Dear Melody,
I was so sorry to hear that your mom
passed away last weekend. Unfortunately, I will not be able to attend her funeral service tomorrow, but wanted to let you know that I will be praying for you and your family as you celebrate your mom's life. At times like this, it is comforting to know that God has an eternal home waiting for all of us that we can all look forward to. Know that you will be in my thoughts and prayers as you get through these difficult days. I look forward to seeing you next week, but totally understand if you
cannot be back on Monday.
