Harold Eiksen Obituary
TALLMADGE -- Harold "Tiny" Eriksen, 89, passed away May 21, 2016. Born in Akron, Harold lived all his life in the area.
He served in the U.S. Navy during the Korean War and retired as a supervisor from Goodyear in 1987 after 32 years of service. He was a member of the First Congregational Church of Tallmadge where he was very active. He was a Past Master of Masonic Lodge #756 and a Valley of Akron 32nd degree. Harold enjoyed golfing and volunteered at Stan Hywet Hall and Gardens. He was also a member of Goodyear Foreman's Club, Goodyear Relief Association, Goodyear 25 Year Club American Legion, VFW and DAV.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Ingrid Eriksen.
Harold is survived by his wife, Esta; daughter, Lisa (Todd) Laidlaw; sons, Keith (Vicki) Eriksen of Wooster, Greg (Sin Hui) Eriksen of Columbus, Jack (Karen) Eriksen of Pepper Pike; and eight grandchildren.
Calling hours will be 5 until 7 p.m. Wednesday, May 25, 2016 at The Donovan Funeral Home, 17 Southwest Ave. (On the Historic Tallmadge Circle) and one hour prior to the service at the church. Star Lodge #187 will conduct Masonic Service at 6:30 p.m.
Funeral services will be 11 a.m. Thursday, May 26, 2016 at The First Congregational Church, 85 Heritage Dr. in Tallmadge with Rev. Dr. John Schluep officiating.
Interment will be at Rose Hill Memorial Park where Military Rites will be conducted by Firestone VFW #3383.
Memorial contributions may be made to the First Congregational Church of Tallmadge.

Yes it's been yet another year and I miss you a lot and think of you almost daily. Thanks again for all you did for all of us and being a great dad, father and friend. Lisa and I love you and miss you and hope you are well. Do you remember that time in Myrtle Beach when there was a freak snow storm and you built a Snowman on the diving board? I laugh every time I think of that. Talk to you later dad

You were right Dad the years go too fast! I still miss you everyday and as I pray at night I always add good night Dad. Thank you for all the time you spent with us helping with little league team, Cub Scouts and boy scouts and on and on. Rest in peace Father
