Dr. Henry R. Moore was a brother, more so than a friend to me and my late husband, Dr. Robert L. Johnson, Sr. The Johnson Family loved and appreciated Dr. Moore. He was a friend in need and deed, "The Apple of Our Eyes." Our family will continues to treasure and support his Legacy, "A Bright Vision For The Future."

Dr. Moore was like my other father and he has encouraged, advised and supported me most of my life. I thank God for the opportunity to have him in my life not only as the patriarch of our practice but in experiencing his legacy as a fellow optometrist, leader and impact he has made on others. I will always honor him and cherish memories of him. I pray his family knows they have the support of friends and comfort in God's peace.

Henry was a great practitioner, but more importantly he was a great person. I first met Dr. Moore in Chicago in 1970 when I was a student at Indiana University and was fortunate to have benefitted over the years from his dear friendship and personal guidance. My condolences to the family. May his spirit continue to shine upon us.

Just a closer walk with thee. Grant it Jesus it you please.... This was our song together. When this feeble life is o'ver and time for me won't be no more. Guide me gently, safely o'er to thy kingdom shore to thy shore. Rest in peace my friend. You will be missed.

As a newly minted optometrist in 1973, I first met Dr. Moore at the N.O.A. convention in San Francisco. He was a giant of a man who had wonderful humor, a great laugh and special articulation. I was particularly moved by his spiritual development over the years and am sure his Lord has said to him.....Well done thy good and faithful servant ...Well done.

I send my condolences to the family of Rev. Dr. Henry Moore... I am currently an employee for Plano Vision Center and I first met him when I was interviewed for the position as optician 3 years ago for Plano Vision and he had given me the whole history of PD measurements and how the Plano business came about and still kept going through all the 50+ years that it has been up and running. I greatly appreciate the pleasure of meeting him and having the opportunity to share a moment with him before he made his transition and having memories of seeing him stop by every week to visit before he no longer could. Thank you Dr. Moore for your wisdom! The legacy will definitely continue for he and Dr. Johnson were great men!

Sorry to hear of the passing of one of our Optometric Legends. Dr. Moore was a kind leader and mentor in the field. His legacay will live on in the many student's lives he touched along the way. May his family find comfort in knowing his life will live on in others whom he touched.

I have known Dr. Moore for almost my entire life. He has always been a wonderful man to me and my family. I had the pleasure of working directly for Dr. Moore for five years at the end of his career at Plano before he retired. He was a joy to be around, his wisdom was endless and will be truly missed.

Dr. Henry Moore was a wonderful mentor and human being. My years working with him at Plano and attending ICO were successful because of the time and effort he extended as an optometrist and as NOA President. We have lost a true champion for our cause, and his light will truly be missed.
