Wilson, Guy "Rex" age 87, beloved husband of Marjorie (nee Wiffin), loving father of Thomas R. Wilson, John G. (Patti) Wilson and Mary W. (Scott) Davis, proud grandfather of Darcy A. Davis, Bryce W. Davis, Kelly C. Wilson, John P. Wilson and James M. Wilson, fond great-grandfather of Casey James McCarty, brother of Maxine Wilson, the late Arden (Anne) Wilson, Gayle (Vera) Wilson, Delbert (Florence) Wilson, Herschel (Frances) Wilson and Keith (Victoria) Wilson. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews. Visitation Friday, 3 to 8 p.m., at G. L. Hills Funeral Home, 745 Graceland Ave., Des Plaines, IL. Funeral service Saturday, 11 a.m., at First Congregational Church, 766 Graceland Ave., Des Plaines. Interment private. Memorials may be made to First Congregational Church or Vitas Hospice. I knew "Rex" from many years ago when my Mom & Dad did their banking in Des Plaines and Dad also did some printing business with the bank. This was back in the late 50's and 60's when folks really knew their bankers and vice versa. You walked in and if he wasn't busy "Rex" would say "Hi". Those were the days. Dad passed in 1971 and Mom moved to AZ and the world changed and I lost track of folks like "Rex". He was good people and will be missed. Condolences to his family.
