Even though it had been a while since the last visit, Gus was a great Uncle and he will be missed!

I am saddened to learn about the passing of my distant cousin, Gus Friesem. I met him only twice, but I was deeply impressed with his kindness and friendship. He lived a long and happy life and will be remembered by those who continue to carry on the Friesem family traditions. May his soul rest in everlasting peace.

For many years Gus served on the Board of the orgabnization of which I was the CEO -Council for Jewish Elderly.
Sonia and I recall with gratitude the hospitality of Gus and Doris. We were one of many who used the Friesem driveway for Ravinia.
May all of you recall fond memories of good times.

I am greatly saddened by the Passing of Gus. I was a business associate that sold him Sample Books for his tablecloths. Your Family probably doesn't recognize my name, but Gus and I were good friends and he treated me as one of his own even though I was only a supplier. I had many lunches with him and always had to fight him for the check. Gus was one of the finest men I have ever met, and I thought of him often in my retirement years and will continue to do so. Please accept my sincere condolences in this sad passing of a good and gracious man.
