CHURCH, GURVIS; of Bloomfield; February 23, 2014; age 79; born October 12, 1934 in Haysi, Virginia. Son of the late Phinas and Carries Church; husband of the late Gloria; father of Linda Smith, Beverly Allen, Jeffery Church and the late Frankie Church; grandfather of 10; great-grandfather of 8; fiancee of 12 years to Mary Almanza; brother of 3 sisters. Predeceased by 4 brothers. Mr. Church worked at Carls Golfland for 40 years. Gurvis enjoyed working outside, yard work and cars. A Celebration of Gurvis' Life will be held Wednesday, February 26, 2014, 11 a.m. at Donelson, Johns and Evans Funeral Home, Waterford. Interment to follow at Oakland Hills Memorial Garden.
