Guadalupe Martinez, 91, passed away on November 18, 2025, in Richmond, Texas.
Born on October 13, 1934, in Marin, Nuevo León, Mexico, Guadalupe spent much of his early life between Mexico and California, working alongside his family and helping to build the foundation of the life they cherished together. He is preceded in death by his mother, Nicolasa Chapa; his daughter, Guadalupe Gonzalez; and his son, Rafael Angel Martinez.
A devoted husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather, Guadalupe is survived by his beloved wife, Margarita Martinez; his sons Moises Martinez and wife Sandra, Joel Martinez and wife Maria, and Marco Antonio Martinez and wife Maria; his daughter Leticia Martinez; and the many grandchildren and great-grandchildren who loved and admired him dearly.
To his grandchildren, he was affectionately known as Papalalo — a man full of jokes, stories, strength, and unwavering warmth. He was a tireless worker, a sharp mind with a playful wit, and the heart of his family.
Visitation will be held Thursday, November 20, 2025 from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at Hernandez Funeral Home 800 4th St. in Rosenberg, Texas
Burial will take place in Mexico.
