Gregory Devane Obituary
We regret to announce the passing of our beloved brother and uncle, Gregory Patrick Devane, on August 13 after a lengthy illness.
A thirty-year resident of Downers Grove, Greg had worked as a Molecular Beam Epitaxy Engineer conducting research published in professional journals while at Amoco, Northwestern University, and Argonne National Laboratory. His education spanned St. Ignatius College Prep, Davidson College, and UIC. He enjoyed being a member of the Ignatius and Davidson swim teams and working as a lifeguard at 79th Street Beach in his high school years.
He is survived by brothers Mark (Sheila); David (Suzanne); Brian (Julie); Kieran; Christopher; Michael (Sheri); Patrick (Anne); and Daniel (Beth), as well as numerous fond nieces and nephews. Wake at Blake-Lamb Funeral Home, Lisle IL, 9 a.m. August 26. Funeral Mass 11 a.m. at SS Peter and Paul Catholic Church, Naperville IL. Interment SS Peter and Paul Cemetery, Naperville IL.
In lieu of flowers, donations should go to St. Joan of Arc Catholic Church, Lisle, IL.

Worked with Greg at County Fair grocery store. He was shy, but a really nice guy. He belonged to a beautiful, loving family. Rest In Peace!
