Dear Mom,It has been almost two weeks now since we last talked to you in the hospital. We know that you heard us even though you could not say so.It seems so many things were left unsaid. It breaks my heart that I will not be able to tell you in this life how much I loved you for all that you sacrificed for me.To raise me alone after Dad passed was no easy task, but your faith and strength in God guided you through.Thank You Mom for loving me.You are in my heart always.Love Johnny

As a friend of John's, I have very fond memories of whom as a child, I referred to as Mrs. Mackey. She was always a very kind, positive and unselfish person who you knew loved her family very deeply. I can still see her beaming smile while playing the organ at St. Genevieve masses.

I can also remember when Mr. Mackey died, as my own father had passed away around that same time period. John and I often commiserated about the untimely losses of our fathers. However, both John and I were also very fortunate to have loving mothers that continued to support us despite their own grief.

Your mom was a very special lady and you were fortunate to have her in your life for so long. The world is a lessor place without her. Gloria and your family will be in both my thoughts and in my prayers. May you all persevere through this difficult period.

John,
Sorry to hear about your mom. Lex was told about your mom passing and then left for work and no one called me with the particulars or I would have been there.
I am sorry we missed the wake and the funeral. You and you family are in our prayers.

Dan & Family

My meetings with your Mom were as internet friends. We were introduced through you, Dan, and from the many memories you related to me, I know she was a special gift from God! Her e-mails always brought a smile to my face and I know she had a tremendous sense of humour. I also felt the ties of musicianship with her and I'm sure heaven is rocking with her music. As I forwarded an e-mail regarding angels, today, I looked at her name and a sadness enveloped as I knew I would no longer be forwarding to her. Ironically, the e-mail of angels was similar to one we've exchanged before. I know she is happy and flying with them! My thoughts and prayers are with you always!

Mom,

You gave of yourself and asked for little from the day we were born until your death this past week.

You lost Dad 35 years ago and you continued to love him until your last breath.

You loved us all and you stated that emphatically each and every time we ended a visit or a phone call with you.

There's so much to say to you and as we all learn, sometimes we neglect to say I Love You enough to one who is Dear to us until after that person passes to God.

I love you unconditionally and will until we meet again down the road.

Thank you for sacrificing so much for us, bringing us the joy of your presence and life and Thank You for being my Mother.

With Love Always,
Dan
