Glenda was born Feb. 2, 1950, to William and Ruby Faye (Rogers) Gilbert. She graduated from high school in Lake Worth in 1967, and on Jan. 19, 1968, she married her beloved husband, James E. Glenda was an avid Bingo player and loved Chihuahuas. She was an excellent cook and enjoyed spending precious time with her sweet family.

She was preceded in death by her parents; and a sister, Juanita.

She is survived by her husband of 45 years, James E. Smith Sr. of Bellmead; three sons, James E. Worth; a sister, Mary Matthews and husband, Scott, of Ft. Worth; 10 grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; and many other family members and dear friends.

The family would like to extend a special thanks to family and friends for their prayers; also, to Dr. Hughes, Dr. Miller, and their staff for the concern and compassion they gave us until the end; to Texas Home Health Hospice, especially Tiffany, DeShiree, Stacy, and Lana for their love and attention; and to Lake Shore Funeral Home for their superior service during such a trying time.
