Gleason Eubank Obituary

Amherst- Gleason Ambrose Eubank, 58, died June 9, 2006, at Lynchburg General Hospital.
We did not think it was time for you to leave us but the Lord called you home to join him on that sunny morning.
Born April 17, 1948, he was a son of Lloyd Earl (Pete) Eubank Sr., of Amherst and the late Janice Campbell Eubank. He was a member of New Prospect Baptist Church and a U.S. Army veteran of Vietnam. Bootise loved life, farming and his special pets, Tiger, Fluffy, Pepper and all of the other cats.
He is also survived by a daughter Erin Eubank Burnette of Madison Heights; two brothers Jessie Richard Eubank and Pete Eubank Jr., both of Amherst; a granddaughter Ashby Danielle Burnette; four nieces Kay Eubank of Evington, Gayle Murphy and husband George of Forest, Tina Campbell and husband Larry of Amherst and Jessie Linda Eubank of Amherst.
Funeral services will be conducted at 3:30 p.m. Sunday, June 11,2006, at Driskill Funeral Chapel with Pastor Kenneth L. Payne officiating. Burial will follow in Amherst Cemetery.
The family will receive friends from 6 to 7:30 p.m. today at the chapel.
The family wishes to thank all of the nurses at the Amherst Dialysis Center, Dr. Giles and Dr. Vandyke, all of whom he considered friends.
