Dear Jeanette,Cheryl, Karen & Family,
Although Joel already included my name in his thoughts, I want to personally offer my heartfelt condolences on the passing of Gershen. As Joel mentioned, I have known the Warren family for over 30 years when my late husband Jerry and I started representing Chicago Dropcloth Co. There just was none better! Gershen's pride in the products he produced was beyond compare and we were proud to be able to work with him and also his daughers when he stepped back. Cheryl and Karen, you carried on and I am sure you made him proud. Unfortunately my age prevents me from driving to Arlington Hts to personally attend the service, but my thoughts and prayers are with you.

Dear Cheryl,Karen, Brad & Family,
My Mom (Steffi) and I were saddened to learn of your father's passing. Please accept our deepest sympathies.
Obviously, my mother goes back even farther with the Warren family and Chicago Dropcloth & Tarpaulin, but I am glad I had the opportunity to represent your company for a number of years when your Dad was passionately involved in the business on a daily basis.
As a rookie manufacturers' representative in 1990, I quickly noticed that his pride in the product -- and, above all, the fact his daughters had become instrumental in the continued advancement and development of the company -- was unmistakable.
Even after a number of years in the paint and hardware industry, and by this time I was pushing 50 myself, I still referred to him as "Mr. Warren" whenever we spoke. There are certain people who always deserve to be called "Mr.," and Gershen Warren was one. Like many businessmen of his time, including my Dad, he had unrelenting goals and standards. No excuses acceptable. I enjoyed calling with good news -- that we had picked up a big order or a new customer -- and feared telling him the not-so-good: that I had been unsuccessful in getting a target customer to buy Chicago Dropcloth & Tarpaulin.
Cheryl and Karen, your Dad surely is up there beaming about what you both, and now Brad, have accomplished in the business he so loved.
Your friends,
Joel & Steffi
