MY HUSBAND AND I WERE VERY SORRY TO LEARN OF THE PASSING OF THIS WONDERFUL, KIND AND BRILLIANT YOUNG MAN. JERRY IS THE OLDEST OF THE SHEPHERD BROTHERS WHO ARE ALSO MY FIRST COUSINS. THEIR LATE MOM AND DAD ARE MY AUNT AND UNCLE. AS A YOUNG RN I LIVED IN A SMALL SECOND FLOOR APT. IN THEIR HOME AND I HAVE GREAT MEMORIES OF ALL THE LEVITY AND LAUGHTER ALONG WITH THEIR SHENANIGANS MOSTLY WHENEVER THEIR PARENTS WERE NOT HOME!! THEY WERE ALWAYS FULL OF FUN AND I ENJOYED THEM SO MUCH. I WAS AWARE THROUGH BILL, BRIAN AND GEORGE THAT JERRY STRUGGLED WITH HIS HEALTH OVER THE YEARS AND I KNOW HE GAVE IT THE VERY BEST FIGHT HE COULD OVER THOSE YEARS. I WILL MISS SEEING HIM AND FOLLOWING HIS WONDERFUL CAREER AND HIS DEVOTION TO HIS CATHOLIC FAITH.I KNOW THAT HIS PARENTS, GRANDPARENTS AND ALL HIS AUNTS AND UNCLES WHO PRECEDED HIM IN DEATH WERE THERE TO WELCOME HIM INTO THE KINGDOM OF GOD. REST IN PEACE MY DEAR COUSIN AND UNTIL WE MEET AGAIN MAY GOD HOLD YOU IN THE PALM OF HIS HAND.THANK YOU TO ALL OF HIS FRIENDS WHO WERE SO SUPPORTIVE OF JERRY DURING HIS ILLNESS, YOU ARE ALL GOD'S "EARTH ANGELS" AND MAY GOD BLESS YOU WITH ALL THAT IS GOOD. SALVATORE AND MARY ELLEN (FRANEY) AIA
