Geraldine Swegle Obituary

Geraldine "Gerry" R. SWEGLE Passed away in her home on Ash Wednesday, February 25, 2009, surrounded by her loving husband, Allan, and their children. Gerry was the beloved wife of Allan "Al" R. Swegle. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. Geraldine was born to Thomas and Sarah Connor on July 4, 1929. She graduated from Immaculate High School in 1948 and went on to attend Seattle University. Gerry and Al met at a Seattle University dance in August 1948 and began dating shortly thereafter. They became engaged in 1950 and were married upon Al's graduation from Seattle U. in June 1951. Gerry is survived by son, John (Jennifer); daughter, Liane Johnson (Richard); son, Thomas; and son, Larry (Deyette); grandchildren, Valentin Marie and Connor Swegle, Michael (Amy), Megan, Shawn, Shannon, and Thomas Johnson, and Natalia and Carson Swegle; step-grandchildren, Taylor and Chad Caswell; great-grandchild, Jack Johnson; brother, Thomas Connor (Judith); and cousin, Adelene O'Connell. A Vigil Service will be held at 7:00 PM on Sunday, March 1, at Hoffner Fisher & Harvey Chapel 508 N. 36th St., Seattle A Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 12:30 PM on Monday, March 2, at Holy Rosary Church in West Seattle.
