Dear Al, Mary, Julie, and Bryan,
I just learned of your mom's passing. I am so sorry. I have fond memories of your mom. I remember her quick wit, her graciousness, and her warmth. When I saw her a few years ago, when your dad passed away, I commented on how nice she looked - she hadn’t changed. She immediately responded, “Amy, how long have you had this problem with your eyes?!” She could inject humor and life into any situation! I remember the fun times we had together as families – how nice it was that we all just clicked, like one big family!
With your mom’s passing, it seems like the end of an era now, an era I will remember and treasure. To each of you, your mom and dad gave you the gift of siblings; and all of you inherited the Ryan/Durkin strength, graciousness, wit and warmth. So, I know you’ll all be ok, just as I’m sure your parents know. Before my mom died, I told here I will always love her and I will miss her. I know you feel the same about your mom, too. And so does she!
Dear Mrs. Durkin,
You know what is in my heart. Goodbye now.
Love,
Amy

To everyone that has entered a posting, sent flowers, masses, attended the services or offered rememberances of our dear mother, we her children thank each and every one of you for your love, kindness and support. We all adored our mom and her loss is truely leaving a great void in our lives. However, we cannot emphasize enough just how uplifting and enduring the constant stream of support and fond thoughts of our mom have been to each us. Your love and appreciation for our mother and for our family has been instrumental in helping us through this difficult journey. She was a great lady who was loved and admired by all. Truely the life of every party who was fond of everyone she knew. With our love and deep appreciation, the Durkin Children, MaryKay, Al, Julie, Bryan and her grandchildren.

Brother Dan and Tony notified me of your loss. Gerry was always a favorite of mine as she grew up just two blocks from our home and I knew her whole family. May God Bless her as she enters the kingdom of Heaven.

I am so sorry I can't be with the family to celebrate your life. I have so many, many great memories of our times together-the basement at Lala and Da's, Oak Forest, and "THIS IS HOLLYWOOD."
We'll be together again. My love and prayers.
