Geraldine Cox Obituary

Aunt Geri, each year as I get the notice of your anniversary, I feel a bit of sadness. And then I remember what a beautiful person you were, and how much our family loved you. Please say hi to my Mom and Grandma Cox.

Every time I look at my giraffe collection, I think about you, Aunt Jeri. I had been (still do) collecting for years and was excited when I walked into your home and saw your herd! Please tell our Mom (Noreen) we miss and love her.

Hi, Aunt Geri,
I just came across a picture of you while making a picture board for Noreen's funeral. You look exactly like I remember you - beautiful with a happy smile. Peace.

I think about you often, Aunt Jeri. You brought joy to my life. I wish we could have shared our giraffe collections.

To the "Mons": My heart is broken to hear of Aunt Geri's passing, I hope it is a comfort to you that it was on her terms not the other way around. I will miss her smile and laughter and I will make that be my memory. She as well as all of you have a special place in my life and my heart.

Our thoughts and prayers remain with you as we pray for God to give you comfort and strength. Find comfort in knowing your Mother is now safe in God's arms. Strength in knowing that she is always looking down upon you.

Marty, losing your Mother is very difficult, be so thankful that you were able to be there, in her last hour, to send her home. That indeed is a blessing-one you will cherish and be thankful for forever.

I didn't know Geri all that well, but knew at once she was the type of person that I love to be around; positive, happy, fun loving and caring. So sorry Jack....my heartfelt condolences to you and your family.

Who could ever forget beautiful Aunt Geri, with her striking blond French twist and fringed bangs, and her very cool and vibrant personality.

We Gorman girls first met Geri around 1955 when she and Uncle Jack washed his car in front of our Lawndale Ave. apartment. We became instant fans and were thrilled to learn she would soon be our aunt. Other vivid memories include car trips to South Bend with Aunt Geri leading rousing renditions of "Bula Bula"; her love of playing games (especially when she would win a prize); her top notch giraffe collection (as an avid giraffe collector myself, I appreciate the variety and uniqueness of many of her pieces.)

Aunt Geri, we love you and will miss you: Mary, Colleen, Nancy & Patty. Karen & Tom had not yet been born but I am certain they share the same sentiments.

We were so sorry to learn of Jeri's passing. Our thoughts and prayers are with you, Jack, and your children.

My sister Phyllis Schoenfeld Genovese graduated with Geri from Providence High School (Class of 1952). Sad to say, Phyl passed away in 2000 but I'm sure she's visiting with Geri in Heaven reminiscing the ol' days. I noticed that Geri was a resident of Gilbert, Arizona - what a coincidence, she may have been a neighbor. Again, my sincere sympathy. Geri will be remembered in my prayers.

Please know that you and your family are in my thoughts and prayers. Even way back when, I remember your Mom making me feel so welcome at their home in Hudson and years later, her laughter and excitement the morning of your wedding. Love and laughter and family - what an amazing legacy she left!

How sorry I am to learn of your wife/mother/ sister/friend.. death.
The pain of loss is tremendous and very difficult to overcome.
