Kathy and I would like to offer our condolences to all of you on the loss of your father. I remember him from his days of coaching football at St. John's and singing with the Irish room at the Parish Festivals. Peace to you all and I know he is with the Lord and friends in heaven.

It was an honor and a privilege to sing with Gerry (and Dan and Ken) a few years back; Gerry had such a lovely voice. Now the angels have their turn to be entertained. I hope he has found his Camelot.

Bill and I were saddened to hear of Mr. Sullivan's passing. He was a very gentle, kind soul. Having him and your whole family as neighbors growing up are very special memories of my childhood. I had a great time going to school and hanging out with your family. Never once do I remember Mr. Sullivan getting angry. He always had a smile and that Irish twinkle in his eye. Please accept our deepest sympathies during this very difficult time. You are in our thoughts and prayers. God bless each and every one of you. I love you all.

God bless him. Gerry brought such joy and love in the form of friendship to my dear parents Frank and Lorraine Samuelson. The mere mention of him has always brought smiles . I thank God for him for my parents' lifelong memories of friendship and joy. We were all blest to have known him. XO

Dear Aunt Kay and family,
I was so sad to hear about Uncle Jerry Passing away but he's in a much more wonderful place now. Every year my husband Rich and our 3 daughters watch our wedding video and I was blessed to have "My Godfather, Jerry Sullivan" sing at our wedding...such a beautiful voice, such a great man and such a sense of humor!

Dear Sullivan Family,
We offer you our deepest condolences upon the death of Jerry, your Dad/husband/father-in-law. He was an incredibly talented and fun person to know. It was a blessing and a joy to sing with Jerry in the Irish Heritage Singers and to be connected to Bill Mahoney. Frank's Dad passed away on 11-15-01 and my Dad passed on 7-31-97. The end is not easy. We miss our Dads.

My deepest sympathy to all of you at Jerry's going home--a heaven probably located somewhere near Galway Bay. He not only was a great singer, he was a good friend, a terrific organizer, and a kick in the ... when it was needed. May he rest in gracious peace. "He did it his way"

To the Sullivan Family - I have a lot of great memories of Jerry and Kay while I was growing up in Niles with my Dad, Frank and Mom, Lorraine. He sang a beautiful song at my sister Mitzi's funeral 11 years ago. I remeber watching him and his boys at Notre Dame High School practicing football on Saturday mornings. He always had a twinkle in his eye and was always a lot of fun. My Mom and Dad will miss him and our prayers are with him and his family.

I echo Claude's expression of appreciation for the sense of civic duty and love of community that Gerald engendered in his children. His son Brian is the admired Director of the Lemont Park District, and a volunteer catechist for children with his wife Laurie at his parish....A legacy that will live on!

his son - kevin - recruited me to help with one of the park district races in the mid-70s. i went door-to-door in niles with him, and mr. sullivan's genuine warmth, sense of public duty and love of community were incredible. we've lost a giant, but his spirit lives through his many great kids and grandchildren and everyone whose lives he enhanced. ngoan's and my thoughts are with the whole sullivan tribe.
