Carol and family,
So sorry to hear that Gerry has passed. I worked the adjoining beat for several years and he was a great Police Officer and I know he was a great Sgt too.

The Ptaszkowski Family,
I go way back to Brighton Park with your Dad. Back then, everyone called him, "Petz", he did not want anyone to call him Gerald and no one could pronounce his last name. Went through the ranks with him at CPD. I remember him most for his laugh and red hair. He was a good man and friend, he will be dearly missed. My prayers and thoughts will be of him and for all of his family.
May God bless him and his family.

Dear Todd and Tammi, I am deeply saddened by the sudden passing of your dad. I will always remember him by his sense of humor and infectious laugh. Know that he is resting in the arms of Jesus and that I will remember him forever in my prayers. Continue on with all that he taught you and know that he lives on in your hearts and the hearts of your children.

I worked with Taz one busy night, and he dropped me off at a hospital to assisst a PPO do paper. I called on the radio to talk to 710 Sr. (a shot about his age) He came back with "tell Jr. to sit and wait". The nickname stuck. I've been "Junior" now for 13 years.

Gonna miss you Senior.
