We continue to remember Jerry & Janice, who were exceedingly welcoming to us during the seven years we lived in Chicago.

Ten years ago I went to work in a small cat clinic. It was only Dr. Brown, the receptionist, the full time technician, and me the part time technician, it was a one room clinic, he eventually turned it into what it is today a wonderful clinic that is both great for the pet and owner. The dreams we talked about turned into the success he has accomplished and my motivation to accomplish my dreams. He was my mentor, my closest friend, my hero. I also saw the love he had for Jan and never thought a person can love someone the way they did, it was a honor to see real soul mates do exist. If I find someone that can give me at least half the love they gave each other I would be one lucky human being. Even with all the love he gave Jan he always had more then enough for his other lady’s in his life, his daughter, his mom, his sister. You can also see the spark in his eyes when he talked about his grandsons.
In honor of Dr. Brown I will try to give my fellow human beings the same love, honor, respect he gave to others.
To his family: thank you for allowing me to be a part of his life and yours. And I know we are all better humans just by having gotten to know him.

I've never known a vet who was more dedicated to his practice than Dr. Brown. My cats and I have been clients at City Cat Dr. for years. Dr. Brown has created a legacy of compassion and first-rate care that is unsurpassed in this city. I know this legacy will live on through the other staff members at City Cat Dr. My thoughts are with Mrs. Brown and the entire family.

We were so sorry to hear about Dr. Brown. We moved out of Chicago 5 years ago but will always remember his kindness and concern during Merlin's bout with a tumor. That was almost 10 years and he is fine today. Thanks to Dr. Brown. All our best to his family.

So sorry to hear about Doc. I will always think of him and the day we met, I and my late cat Emile, who modeled for him when he got his new micro surgery equipment. I'm glad to have known Doc.

Our deepest sympathy to Aunt Miriam, his beloved wife Jan, daughters Shelly and Lorie, and devoted sister Rhina. Jerry was my closest cousin when we were boys. When we moved to Chicago in 1959 he and Jan were extremely warm and generous in taking us into their apartment and orienting us to the city until we moved into our own apartment. We are eternally greatful for their genuine hospitality. Jerry's enthusiasm and love for his profession enriched his life and the lives of countless animals and people. May he rest in peace!
