Klier, Georgene

Georgene "Genie" Klier, RN passed away peacefully on July 14, 2025. Born Georgene Swannie to Elizabeth and Donald Swannie of Papa Stour and Orkney, Scotland, respectively, she grew up on the south side of Chicago where she met Bruce Klier, her husband of nearly 62 years, at Harper HS and Drexel Park Church. She is preceded by Bruce and her sister Marge (Cliff) Singer. She will be missed by her children: Deb (Bob) Glaser, Rob (Georgette) Klier, Scott Klier and Pam Klier. Grandchildren Jillian Schmuhl, Rob and Bill Glaser, Julia, Nicole and Michael Klier, Lauren (Michael) Blazzard and Faith (Jaxson) Gordon. Her siblings Claire (Chuck) Johnson, Frances (Lou) Iani and Don (Jane) Swannie. And so many others.
