George Paulus Obituary

George Wesley Paulus, 73, of Carlisle died Aug. 27, 2010, at Harrisburg Hospital.

Born Oct. 30, 1936, in Carlisle, he was a son of the late George Brady and Ruth Catherine Miller Paulus.

He was formerly employed as a crew leader for Carlisle Syntec. George was a member of the Tree of Life Church, Carlisle . George was also a member of the North Middleton Senior Citizens, Fraternal Order of Eagles Aerie 1299 of Carlisle, White Circle Club of Carlisle, Moose Lodge 761 of Carlisle and Elks BPO Lodge 578 of Carlisle.

Surviving are his wife of 12 years, Joyce Paulus of Carlisle; four children, Steve Allen Paulus of Carlisle, Jeffrey Allen Paulus (and wife Beth) of Carlisle, Angela Adkins of Wescosville and Cassandra Paulus of Shippensburg; two grandchildren, Brooke Paulus and Rhiaunna Paulus; one brother, Ronald Paulus (and wife Anna) of Carlisle; and an adopted daughter, Tonya Kirkpatrick (and husband Mike) of Carlisle.

He was preceded in death by his sister, Shirley Wert.

Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday at Hoffman-Roth Funeral Home & Crematory, Inc., 219 N. Hanover St., Carlisle, with the Rev. David S. Herr officiating. Burial will be in Mt. Zion Cemetery, Churchtown.

A visitation will be held from 10 a.m. until the time of the service on Tuesday at the funeral home.

Memorial contributions may be made to Tree of Life Church, 50 "K" St., Carlisle, PA 17013.
