Still missing you Mr.Kingston. working with you and McKinley PTA, trying our best to get a new school and we finally did. Even though it's not called the McKinley, that's okay. We did it. Sincerely,Betty Marotta, president of the McKinley PTA in the 80's

To me, Mr. Kingston was larger than life and a true role model. Back in the 80's I bumped into him while walking across the "Barrows map." I had not seen the man in six or seven years and he still remembered my name. That meant a lot to me. God bless you Mr. Kingston...I'll always remember your name too.

I was a student at the Barrows School in the 1970's and have such wonderful memories of Mr. Kingston. One of my fondest was driving with him in his big car to some other school in Revere to accept an award in honor of the Barrows School. Mr. Kingston went over my "speech" with me and made me feel so special. May you rest in eternal peace. You will be fondly remembered by so many.

I'm always grateful for the many acts of kindness George offered my dad and uncle....and myself. A very kind and generous man with a gentle spirit. Thank you George. May your joy be great in Heaven.

I too was a student in the 70's. Hard man to miss, and hard to forget. I rocked at Beth Israel and remember he had a family member who worked there in telecommunications Always liked seeing her as thinking of the Barrows and Mr Kingston brought back great memories. Rest in Peace Mr. Kingston. It will always be Mr. Kingston, never George to those of us who attended school there.

One of the sweetest, most gentle giants that I never wanted to disappoint! I too, was always terrified I would end up in his office at one point or another - and eventually did and I think he felt worse than I did when it happened. I know his legacy will carry on through all the of my classmates at Barrows. We all loved him dearly! Rest in Peace Mr. Kingston.

I was a student of Mr. Kingston in the 1970's, and I always remember his big booming voice!!! We were all afraid we'd end up in his office for something or other, but really, he was the sweetest man! I remember him as so caring about the kids, even coming outside on one occasion when there was trouble, to make sure that everyone was okay. What a wonderful man, I have very fond memories of him as a little child. My sincere condolences to his family. Lisa A. Galvin

To the Kingston family,I am so sorry to hear about Mr.Kingston as we all knew him back in the 80's at the McKinley school . He always said he would have like to see the new McKinley School built in his lifetime. When I was president of the PTA he was so helpful to us all , He never sent us away, always addressed our concerns,He said at least we got new windows, a new roof and sewerage problem taken care of , what more could you ask for , I said new school at least gym/cafeteria,He said you'll see it someday and he was right, didn't care if it was called McKinley as long as it gets built ,That's the kind of a guy he was, To me he was great man, but I'm sure you already know that.Well at least he's in great company now with Dr.Fred and Mrs.M.Marotta(former secretary) .He will be always remembered as one of the good guys. Mr. Kingston--I will always remember my Elementary school years at the Barrows School and you as a principal. I think your height scared many of us (of course being so much smaller), but we all knew you were a great, kind man. I only remember being sent to you once for coloring my lips with crayon (silly me)...and I was scared out of my wits. lol Something now you would not be sent to the principal for in these days. As I grew older I would see you out and about and still thought--wow what a big guy! As I started my teaching career, you found me and had nothing but kind encouraging words. I have thought of you often over the years now being a stay at home mom to two children and always hoped you were well. My grandfather used to enjoy talks with you as well. You are now joined with him. Hope you can enjoy more talks together. You will be greatly missed by so many. Rest in Peace Mr. Kingston. xo Love Kimberly Freedman (Havens)
