Genevieve Guidotti Obituary

Genevieve Ann (Remsh) Guidotti, 91, of Great Falls, died of natural causes Sunday at a local nursing home.
A private family memorial service will be held at a later date. O'Connor Funeral Home is handling arrangements.
Gen is survived by her children Garry Guidotti and John Guidotti of Great Falls, Drena (John) Radcliffe of Sun Lakes, Ariz., and Joe (Kathy) Guidotti of Belt; grandchildren Melané Guidotti, Tony (LeeAnn) Guidotti, Kelle (Jay) Schalin, Muff (Shawn) Connolly, Joe Guidotti III, Carmelinda Guidotti, Joseph A. Guidotti, Nicholas Guidotti, Shawn (Amy) Fairchild and Andrew Fink; and six great-grandchildren.
Genevieve was born July 10, 1916, to Regina (Jarnot) and Roman Remsh, in Great Falls.
She married Joseph R. Guidotti on April 27, 1935, in Black Eagle. Gen's full life revolved around being a wife and mother. She was a wonderful cook, and she celebrated with great family meals around her kitchen table at the family home in Black Eagle. When she wasn't cooking or tending to grandchildren, she enjoyed fishing and camping at Swan Lake in the early years, and later at the family cabin at Marshall Lanes on the Missouri River. When her children were grown, she was employed at several places around Great Falls, including The Paris, Valley Nursery and Grandma's Restaurant. She took painting classes and became an enthusiastic painter, sharing paintings with all her family members. She loved working in her garden, visiting with her sister Ann, going out to restaurants and playing bingo.
She was preceded in death by her husband Joe; granddaughter Julliette Guidotti; brothers Leo and John Remsh; and sisters Mary Tabor and Ann Barnum.
