Dear Nora,

Words can't describe the sadness we feel for your loss. All we keep saying is "he was just the nicest guy"...so kind, caring and genuine. He was such a good listener too. AND fun. We second what Pat Morrison said as we have always thought you are so special and strong. We are amazed by your grace and courge and attitude at the wake and funeral and your gorgeous children had the same grace and courage. Our prayers are with you every day. Know that God is with you somehow.

Love, Kate and Jimmy

Nora,

When I close my eyes and think of Gene I remember him with a smile on his face, a twinkle in his eyes and a chuckle in his voice...and when he talked about Matt & Elizabeth his face glowed with pride. My hope is that you find comfort in remembering the good times and laughter you shared. You're in my thoughts!

DEAR NORA, I JUST READ THE DEATH NOTICE LATE TONIGHT AND AFTER A FEW PHONE CALLS I LEARNED WHAT HAPPENED. I AM SO SO SORRY FOR YOUR LOSS. GENE WAS A GREAT GUY SO FULL OF LIFE. I KNOW IT IS SO HARD TO UNDERSTAND GODS PLAN AT A TIME LIKE THIS BUT YOU MUST REMEMBER HE DIED DOING SOMETHING THAT HE ENJOYED, HIS LAST MOMENTS WERE FILLED WITH FUN AND LAUGHTER INSTEAD OF MOMENTS THAT ARE RIDDLED WITH PAIN AND SUFFERING. I KNOW THAT IS SMALL CONSILATION BUT IN THE MONTHS AND YEARS TO COME YOU WILL FIND SOLICE IN THESE THOUGHTS. YOU ARE A STRONG WOMAN AND YOU WILL BE STRONG FOR YOUR TWO BEAUTIFUL CHILDREN. BECAUSE THAT IS WHAT GENE WOULD WANT. MY THOUGHTS AND PRAYERS ARE WITH YOU AND YOUR CHILDREN. SINCERELY, PAM KOUIMELIS

Dear Nora...I heard from Dave Pals of Gene's death. I cannot begin to tell you how sorry I am for you and your childrens' loss. It is just so tragic and seemingly pointless. I know it can't mean much right now, but he was taken from you while having fun, being in nature and living life to the fullest. We don't all get that chance. And I know my thoughts aren't necessarily comforting at your time of great loss. Just know I always thought you were very strong, loving, wonderful and special and my heart breaks knowing that you have to endure such loss and pain. If there is anything I can do, please feel free to call on me. All my deepest sympathy and love for you, Matthew and Elizabeth. Pat Morrison

Dear Nora, Matt, & Elizabeth,

I can't tell you how shocked and sadened we all are. You would be hard pressed in a lifetime, to find anyone more genuine and sweet as Gene was and we consider ourselves to be very fortunate that we knew Gene. He was one of the proudest fathers I ever met and there was always a glow about him when he spoke about Matt and Elizabeth. I will always remember him telling me years ago when we worked together, how important it was for him to try and get home before the kids went to bed so that he could say goodnight to them.

I know there are no words that will ease the terrible loss of Gene, however I can say that all who knew him loved him and will surely miss him!

Love,

Jack, Jeanne & Jim Morgan
