I can't believe it has been a year... I still remember the last good hug before I left, expecting to be together again in a couple of weeks. I still can hear his plans for one more family vacation in Lake Geneva...and I still hear his voice when I need help and when I pray. Dad, I love you ...and I miss you more than I can ever say.
Thank you for watching over and helping Mom and Jen...and me. I hope you're enjoying the opportunity to watch Zach as he grows up and I'm sure you're enjoying seeing him challenge me to be a wonderful father like you.
I keep you in my heart and live in hope for the day when we can be face to face again.
All my love, your son, Jeff

Dear Dolores,
We are very sorry to hear of Gene's death. Too sudden. He was too young. What a kind and good man he was. Always friendly and always helpful. He was a take charge guy with a generous heart. I remember a trip to the orphanage in Mexico a few years back and he loved it so much. He will be missed. You are certainly in our thoughts and prayers. May you find some comfort knowing you are thought of at this difficult time in your life.

Dear Dolores,
Gene left me with only wonderful memories of our youth. I can remember going to the Chicago Theatre with him, you, and Dorothy to see "The Bells are Ringing" and then to El Bianco's. He thought that was the greatest place to spend three hours eating. The next day you and Dorothy went out with Bob Erazmus and Wally Biela. Gene and I spent a lot of time bemoaning what we thought was our loss. Bless the many years you had with him. I wish I would have had as many.
Our sympathies are with you and your family. I will always remember him.
