12/15/2007 I heard today of the passing of my friend Gary.I will miss him and the talks we had as he kept me informed on Local Sports & Weather. Gary was part of a group of us that called Woodhaven our home away from home. Karen,Beth,Zeek and all the family,I am sad to say goodbye to my friend.Best wishes to all of you. Go Bears..........

So sorry we could not be there. We were in Gatlinburg, TN for a football tournament but you all were in our thoughts and prayers every minute. We will Gary very much! The other GPG will always think of him with love in her heart! Love all of you guys!

Dear Aunt Dorothy and family, our thoughts and prayers are with you at this tying time. I have so many memories of the Goebig clan, from those early family Christmas parties in your basement to the frequent Sunday visits at the Shanahan house in New Lenox. I was always amazed at the energy that Gary and Charlie had. From the time that red and white Ford Country Squire rolled to a stop and they bailed out, it was always non-stop for the next 4 hours. I was exhausted just watching them.

I remember many great things about Gary but one in particular was one Christmas morning before anyone was awake he took me (his young kid sister-in-law at the time) for a car ride just Sorth of town (away from buildings) so we could view the dark morning sky for something celestial which I can no longer remember exactly what. I thank him for those special memories!
