Freeman Christensen Obituary

Christensen, Freeman "Chris" Kellin 83, of Arlington Heights, died June 28, 2006. He was born April 9, 1923. Husband of the late Agnes (nee Reilly), son of the late Harold and Elizabeth (nee Kellin), brother of the late Melville (the late Ina), Ardath (the late David) Willett, Arleen (the late Howard) Fehl, Alfred (partner Ray Davenport), the late Kenneth (Christa) and Fay (Harold) Fehsenfeld, best friend and proud uncle of Joseph Fehsenfeld, adoptive friend of Cathy Stob and her children, Godson Christian and Courtney, also survived by his dear sister-in-law, Aileen Dalgish and many cousins, nieces and nephews, fond long time friend of the late Christine Schofield. Chris and Agnes traveled extensively having met and lived in Europe for several years. A lover of food and wine, he was wine steward of Les Gourmets of Chicago for many years. Chris was a veteran of World War II having served in N. Africa and Italy. He retired from civilian service in the U.S. Government in 1985. He was active in church for over 50 years and was a devoted member of Faith Lutheran Church for 35 years. Funeral Service 11 a.m. Monday at Faith Lutheran Church, 431 S. Arlington Heights Rd., Arlington Heights. Visitation Sunday, from 3 p.m. until 8 p.m. at the Glueckert Funeral Home, Ltd., 1520 N. Arlington Heights Rd., Arlington Heights and at church from 10 a.m. until time of service on Monday. Interment private. If desired memorial may be made to Hospice of Northeastern Illinois, 410 S.
