Glatz, Frederick J. age 67, late of Mokena, died July 24, 2003, Veteran of U.S. Army. Beloved husband of the late Yvonne (nee Alberts) (1996), dearest father of Fred (Chris), Robert and Richard (Heidi), fond grandfather of Katlyn, Madison and Trevor. Firefighter for the Chicago Fire Department Engine 123. Member of the Chicago Firefighters Union Local #2 and the International Association of Firefighters AFL-CIO-CLC #2. Funeral services Tuesday, 10 a.m. at Our Mother of Good Counsel Catholic Church, Homer Glen. Interment St. Mary Cemetery. Visitation Monday, 2 to 9 p.m. at Gerardi Funeral Home, Lincoln Hwy. at 95th Ave. (1 block east of LaGrange Rd. on Rte. 30), Frankfort. Family requests memorials to the American Cancer Society. Fred was one of the finest men I knew. It was too bad that our paths did not cross earlier in life. He was always a gentleman. He will surely be missed by many.
