Fred Tsuji Obituary

Tsuji, Fred Yoshio 96, of Chicago, passed peacefully on Saturday, March 4, 2017. Born in Seattle, WA. Beloved husband of Chiyeko (Hiuga) Tsuji for 70 years; devoted father of Kenneth and Colleen (Paul Wanderski). From his wheelchair, he was the benevolent patriarch of the Tsuji-Fujii family, including his sister Mary (the late John) Fujii, nieces Joanne Fujii, Elaine (Will) Jarvis, nephew Wesley (Susan) Fujii and their children, Nicole and Kelly Jarvis and Justin, Emily, Griffin and Zachary Fujii. He will also be fondly remembered by in-laws, nieces, nephews and extended family on the West coast and in Canada. He was a cherished grampa to many granddogs. An avid golfer and sports fan, he especially enjoyed celebrating oshogatsu with friends and family. Memorial donations may be made to Midwest Buddhist Temple or the Japanese American Service Committee. Private services will be held at a later date.
