Frank Majewicz Obituary

You will truly be missed.

I knew him when I was in the seminary. He was wonderful. A dear friend. He was funny, kind and generous. I was shocked to hear he passed away. I know he is in heaven.

We feel honored that Father Frank helped us with our wedding preparation in 2003. He will be missed. To his family, we are sorry for your loss.

The Franciscan Sisters of Chicago extend our deepest sympathy to the family, friends and priests and brothers of the Resurrection on the death of Father Frank. He had a gentle spirit and a loving heart. He touched the lives of many and forgot none. May he rest in peace and eternal joy!

I am so sorry to hear about the loss of Rev. Majewicz. I am honored to have known him and he really has made our marriage preparation a great experience. We are getting married on October 7, 2006 at Dominican University Priory Chapel and Rev. Majewicz was presiding. He will be missed very much and there is no one that could possibly replace the man that he was and the wonderful reverend that he was. On our wedding day we will think of him and light a candle in his honor. We will keep the Majewicz family in our prayers.

Our condolences to your family during this difficult time. We thank Frank for the presence in our lives and at many family celebrations.

To a man who did not forget about you once you passed beyond his door; who understood the travails and growing pains of the men he taught and counseled; and who, when addressed as "Father" understood it to mean both teacher and friend equally, we, those you walked with, in good company, through hardships, joys, and times of guidance, confessions, sorrows, and celebrations; with whom you played a tough game of basketball, never failing to remind us intelligence, experience, and conniving can upset overambitious, youthful exuberance and a badly timed jump shot; and those who just needed your presence to remind them what honor and dignity in adversity looked like, will remember your spirit, your smile, your appetite for life, and your kindness. Rest easy, Padre - you've done well.

I am sorry for your loss. My prayers are with you and your family.
