Frank Kovanda Obituary

Kovanda, Frank J. 71, of Crest Hill, longtime of Gilbertsville, KY, at rest April 29, 2007. Born July 22, 1935 in Chicago. Beloved husband of 44 years to Charlene (nee Antonacci, loving father of Michelle (Anthony) Strickland and Kimberly (Charlie) Corrao, cherished grandpa of Allesandra and Larissa Strickland, Gabrielle and Josie Corrao, devoted son of the late Frank and Josephine Kovanda, dear brother of Jean Reichel and the late Jimmy Kovanda, fond brother-in-law of Carole Antonacci, uncle and friend of many. Frank was a 4th Degree Knight with St. Henry Council #11453 in Aurora, KY and Good Shepherd Council #5573 in Plainfield, IL. For those who prefer, memorials in Frank's honor may be directed to the St. Henry's Catholic Church, 16097 Highway 68 E., Aurora, KY 42048. Visitation Sunday, May 6, 2 to 7 p.m., at the Overman-Jones Funeral Home, corner of Routes 30 and 59, Plainfield. Mass of Christian Burial Monday, May 7, 10:30 a.m., at St. Mary Immaculate Catholic Church, 15629 S. Route 59, Plainfield. Interment St. Mary Immaculate Cemetery. For info: 815-436-9221.
