Dear Edith and children,
We only know your husband and father as the best painting contractor, capable of doing the high end of the business.
Often he and I would talk about the importance of education and the high value he had of the Northbrook Schools. He always spoke about the value of learning.
The last time he worked for us, he decided that one part of the project, which was unusual and special, he would do himself. He said that he hadn’t done this kind of “artistic” painting for a long time. He wanted to see if he still had it in him. When he finished, he was very excited and pleased that he still had the eye and hand for this one of kind job. The window trim matches perfectly to the marbled patterns in the marble frame around the window.
Both Nancy and I extend our belated sympathy to all of you. May his soul rest in peace!
