Gage, Frank D. 88 of Palatine. Visitation for Frank D. Gage will be from 2:00 p.m. until the time of the funeral service at 5:00 p.m. Sunday, August 23, 2009 at Ahlgrim Family Funeral Home 201 N. Northwest Hwy., Palatine. Interment will be private. Born: September 6, 1920 Chicago and passed away peacefully at his home on Wednesday, August 19, 2009. Frank was a WWII U.S. Army Veteran. Beloved husband of Wladyslawa (Dzieciol) Gage and the late Violet (Wisinski) Gage, loving father of Ken (Mary Ann) Gage, Karen (William) Mueller, the late Donald Gage, Margaret (Andre) Ciomek and Peter (Margaret) Gajcy, dear grandfather of Debra Dalton, Ken, Kelly and Michael Gage, Tammy Meade, Jonathan Mueller, Debra Foreman and Marianne Ciomek, dear great-grandfather of 13, fond brother of John Gage, the late Albert Gage and the late Florence Kennedy. Grandpa Gage will be missed deeply by everyone who knew him. He was a strong and wonderful man. I still remember the times when he and grandma Gage would come to Alaska to visit; dad would go hunting with him while grandma made her famous piroshki's. I wish that grandpa could have met my new wife (Darcy) before he passed on. She has heard many wonderful things about him. He will always be in our hearts.
