Francis Lemieux Obituary

Francis L. LEMIEUX Nov. 11, 1917 to Nov. 5, 2002, Age 84 Francis, known as "Unc" and "Nan", is survived by sister Regina Cowan, niece Charlotte Cornett, niece Crystal Cooper and nephew Marv "Smoke" Boyd. Unc was born in Cloquet, Minnesota and lived in Seattle all his life. He loved sports and when younger played baseball, soccer, hockey, football, basketball and more, excelling in soccer. He had fond memories of Crystal Pool. He served in World War II in the Army Air Corps. He often spoke of his friends and co-workers. He loved Disneyland and roller coasters and was still riding the rides this year! He spent many years salvaging scrap metal, and loved his workshop in the basement. Whenever we'd ask him what he wanted, his answer was always "T-Bone Steak." Unc loved to laugh, to watch TV, to go to ballgames. He went on walks every day. There shall never ever be another one like him. He will be missed by everyone who met him. Services will be held Wednesday November 13, 2002, 1 p.m. at Hoffner, Fisher & Harvey, 508 - N. 36th St. Seattle, WA 98103. 206-632-0100. Graveside to follow at Evergreen-Washelli.
