I met Father Frank some 55 years ago while I was still in the orphanage. He brought his Uncle John to visit me. He was still studying in Indiana. We remained close after Father John died and he visited me often after I grew up. He baptized my two children. We had many wonderful times together and taught my two boys rock hunting and taught them about the different gems they would find. He showed them how to polish rocks. Each time he came to visit through the years he would bring them new rocks he polished. He was one of the most endearing people in my sons lives. I am so sorry this is late in coming but you have my warm and loving condolences. The world has lost a beautiful person and I have lost my best friend of 57 years. I met Anthony at Father John's 60 year celebration at Saint X.

Although I never had the good fortune of meeting Father Grollig, I got to know him a bit through his Sister's eyes. Sister Alma and I work in our archives and she shared many stories with me. He must have been well worth knowing in person.

Father taught me as a scholastic at LOYOLA ACADEMY. It was my sophomore year. I am pleased that he had such an outstanding career. He's gone home and we salute him.
May God Bless his family

Fr. Grollig taught me as an undergrad Anthro major at LU and, after my "senior trip" to Vietnam, as a graduate Anthro major. His humor and wit always made his classes interesting - the ultimate punster! I met my wife Sharon at LU when working as a research assistant for Fr. Grollig. He will be missed!

I knew Father Grollig quite well since he was the TEKE advisor in the 60's while I was at Loyola and a member of TKE. A great guy and friend. His dry sense of humor was something I'll always remember.
Wow; we need more priests like him today!

It seems like yesterday when we first met Fr. Frank. In reality it was almost 30 years ago. He was our counselor, friend, teacher and really a member of our family. We met through the Peruvian Arts Society. The last time we visited Fr. Frank was at Columbiebiere last year. He was almost his same, delightful self. He shall be missed.
Sister Alma, we want to be with you and also send our love to Father Tony.

I work at the loyola library. My contact with Fr. Grollig was through his donating over the years many books to the library. He was one of my favorite people to deal with, unassuming, and very engaging. He also had a very down to earth way about him and a good sense of humor.I haven't seen him for a number of years now,but I always missed dealing with him.He will be missed!
