Floyd A. Hanson, II of Walden, NY, died Tuesday, July 28, 2009 at St. Luke's Hospital, Newburgh. He was 60.

The son of Floyd A. and Helen Jarszynski Hanson, he was born February 28, 1949 in Brooklyn, NY.

He was an Army veteran of Vietnam, serving in the Army Airborne.

Survivors include his son, Floyd A. Hanson, III of Walden and his fiancée, Sue Rigatti of Newburgh; one daughter, Valerie A. Hanson of Walden; two sisters, Helen "Bobbie" Williams of Walden and Evelyn Thompson of Phoenix, AZ; one granddaughter, Morgan Grange Hanson; nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be held on Friday, July 31, from 6-8 p.m. at Gridley-Horan Funeral Home, 39 Orchard St., Walden.

Funeral services will be held on Friday, July 31, at 8 p.m. immediately following the visitation. Cremation will be in the Cedar Hill Crematory, Newburgh.

Memorial contributions may be made to the family to be used at their discretion.
